Sunday, July 16 3:00-4:30 PM Parent Check-in and Drop Off: assignment of rooms, important contact numbers for parents.

 

4:30-5:30 PM   Student Welcome and Orientation: overview of expectations, activities, goals, standards of behavior.
  5:30-6:30 PM

Dinner in Cafeteria

  7:00-8:00 PM Icebreakers: Walk around campus to key buildings, facilities, settle into rooms.
  8:00-10:00 PM Movie Room
     

Monday, July 17

7:45 – 8:30 AM Breakfast at Williston cafeteria
  8:30-9:30 AM   Academic Class: English Prep: writing, vocab, test prep.
  9:30-10:30 AM Academic Class: Drama: advanced skill work that is age-appropriate.
  10:30-11:30 AM College Admissions Seminar: Admissions Officers Seminar on process, overview, question and answer.
  11:30 – 12:00 PM Break
  12:15 – 1:00 PM Lunch
  1:00 – 5:30 PM Scavenger Hunt on campus. Time in Williston Theatre.
  5:30 -6:30 PM Dinner
  6:30 – 7:00 PM Downtime, work on projects, homework
  7:00 – 9:00 PM Collaboration on Projects
  9:30-10:30 PM Nightly reflection; journaling on what was learned.
     

Tuesday, July 18

7:45-8:30 AM Breakfast at Williston Cafeteria
  8:30-9:30 AM Academic Class: English Prep: writing, vocab, test prep.
  9:30-10:30 AM Academic Class: Drama: skill work age-appropriate
  10:30-11:30 AM College Admissions Seminar:  Importance of classes, transcripts, SATs, etc.
  11:30-12:15 PM Collaboration: Time to Plan Presentations
  12:15-1:15PM Lunch
  1:15 – 5:30 PM Campus Tour of UMass and Amherst College. 

Amherst College:  Tour of Campus, including:  Mead Art Museum, Emily Dickinson Museum (This Was a Poet), and Planetarium at Amherst. Survivor Challenge on campus.

  5:30 – 6:00 PM Dinner
  6:00 - 10:00 PM Tour of Smith College: campus, architecture, buildings. Academy of Music Theatre: An Inconvenient Truth at 7:00.  Acclaimed documentary by former Presidential candidate and environmental activist Al Gore.
  10:00- 10:30 PM Journaling and reflection.
     

Wednesday, July 19

7:30-8:30 AM Breakfast at Williston Cafeteria
  8:30-9:00 AM Academic Class: English Prep: writing, vocab, test prep.
  9:00-10:00 AM Academic Class: Drama: skill work age-appropriate
  10:00 – 12:15 PM Tour of Mount Holyoke College:  Art Museum, campus, etc.
  12:15-12:45 PM Lunch
  12:45 –5:30 PM Tour of Springfield College, and Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield.  
  5:30-6:15 PM Dinner
  7:00-9:00 PM Wiliston-Theatre Time
  10:00-10:30 PM Reflection and journaling

  8:30-9:30 AM Academic Class: English Prep: writing, vocab, test prep.
  9:30-10:30 AM Academic Class: Drama: skill work age-appropriate
  10:30-11:30 AM Guest Lecture: Poetry workshop. Local poet shares work and leads workshop
  11:30-12:15 Collaboration
  12:15-1:00 PM Lunch
  12:45- 8:30 PM Six Flags Amusement Park
  8:30 – 9:30 PM Collaboration for Final Projects
  9:30 – 10:00 PM Discussion and Journaling
